When sorting through parts, we found some leftover components from the first version of our Oxford Drive pedals. So we decided to make a limited run of the old version at a discounted price. These pedals lack the newer gubernatorial voice mode. They also have a traditional clicky true-bypass switch, instead of the flexible soft-touch true-bypass switch on our current Oxford Drive V2.

Of course, things couldn’t quite go smoothly, and these pedals have a misprint: the labels on the clipping switch for “LED” and “ASYM” are swapped. Despite what the labels say, the center position is the “LED” mode, and the left position is the “ASYM” mode.

The Oxford Drive replicates a certain shred-tastic high-gain distortion pedal from the 1990s, but with more gain, more volume, bonus clipping options, and true bypass, and top-mount jacks in a small 1590B enclosure. These pedals use the exact same “soft touch” knobs as can be found on a variety of vintage gear from the UK.
