The Oxford Monarch is dual channel overdrive and distortion pedal inspired by our favorite 90s dirt sounds. It not only replicates the circuits of several vintage effects, but expands and modernizes them. The result is a pedal that can cover any ground from clean boost to blistering distortion. Push your crunchy rhythm sound into lead territory with a transparent overdrive. Set your perfect high gain sound and use the second channel for a solo volume boost. Use the flip-flop mode to alternate between gain sounds with a single tap. And with wider control ranges, it’ll sound good with any amp.

It also features modern conveniences like flexible soft-touch true bypass, and top-mount jacks in a small 1590BB enclosure. Plus it has the exact same “soft touch” knobs as can be found on a variety of vintage gear from the UK, for true a vintage feel.

Features

  • Replicates and expands the analog circuits of several famous vintage effects
  • Two totally distinctive channels: “Blue” & “Gold”
  • Swappable routing for flexible channel stacking
  • Expanded control ranges and output volumes for each channel
  • Gold channel focused on mid-to-high gain with characterful voicings
    • Two circuit modes, each with a fully unique 3-band EQ
    • Crunchy ’88 mode uses red clipping LEDs and a highly flexible, interactive EQ
    • Punchy ’91 mode uses silicon clipping diodes, a dramatic “contour” middle control, and a powerful new treble control
  • Blue channel focused on low-to-mid gain with transparent voicings
    • Vintage mode has a brighter sound, perfect to pair with bass-heavy clean tones
    • Modern mode has a more neutral sound with full low-mids
    • Tone and Presence controls allow for easy tone-shaping
    • Drive and Distortion modes offer different dynamic responses, while Boost offers a hint of grit and a ton of volume
  • Flexible Analog True-Bypass per channel with Standard and Flip-Flop modes
  • Soft-Touch Footswitches

The user manual can be found at this link. It’s written in a similar style to our blog, and we really recommend giving it a look to get the most out of the pedal.
